One of the things that I love most about our country is that it's summer all year-round. It may be June or October or February or September, but eight out of ten times, when you walk out your door, it's sunshiny bright.
Of course, it would be ten times better if I get to walk out my door to this...
Anvaya Beach and Nature Club is a couple of hours away from Manila, somewhere off Morong in Bataan. Its beachfront is just a small stretch of sand, but I like its country club feel. It's like walking onto Alabang Country Club, only there's a beach. Too bad there weren't any pawikans when we came to visit. Seeing them crawl onto the sand to lay their eggs would have been a magical experience. Oh well, maybe next time.
I did see this elegantly colored bug crawling around our backyard...
... before I went to get my favorite breakfast of danggit, tomatoes, and scrambled eggs with everything on it. Yum!
It totally gave me the energy to take the Nature Trail, which is a 30-minute hike that took us into a forest and a couple of streams, and finally onto the 260-meter long zipline. It looked like fun, and I laughed all the way down. Oh, how I wish I could fly!
