Yes, that's Jolina and her hubby Mark just a few days after their wedding. What was I doing interrupting their honeymoon, you ask? Well, we were rushing this story for YES!, and the interview had to be done. Yes, I'm a party pooper, I know, but their story had to be told and what a story it was, filled with all the romantic details that could make a grown woman swoon and sigh.
After talking to these two, it's sort of impossible not to believe in love, or at least in the possibility of it. Here's a little of the something I wrote for YES!
Jolina Magdangal arrives at Memory Lane some 20 minutes before 1 p.m. Though she wears nary a hint of makeup, her eyes sparkle and her cheeks are all flushed. Dressed in a long purple skirt, with her hair falling carelessly about, she looks something like an angel.
Jolina Magdangal has never looked this beautiful or this happy. That she is in the arms of Mark Escueta, drummer of the popular band Rivermaya, may have something to do with it. Only a few days earlier, the two were married at a beautiful garden ceremony in Tagaytay.
Her change of status in her Facebook account, from single to married, did not go unnoticed by her family, friends, and fans. But it was Mark, she says, who accomplished the change of status, since she herself has not been religiously attending to her Facebook account.
When we tease her about being Mrs. Escueta, Jolina shrieks out with a joyful “Yehey!” At the same time, she confesses: “Pag naririnig ko na tinatawag akong Jolina Escueta, parang nahihiya ako. Hindi ako nahihiya dahil ayoko. Nahihiya ako…”
She pauses, as if unable to put her finger on what she has in mind, then continues: “Kinikilig ako, e, pero hindi ko mapakita dahil baka sabihin, ‘OA mo, a.’”
Indeed, Jolina and Mark are still so caught up in the joyous occasion that was their wedding that they’ve been watching the video over and over again every day since.
Mushy, right?
Wait till you get a glimpse of their scrapbook, absolutely cutie!

Of course, it didn't get me to want to go walking down any aisle, but it did get me to make a scrapbook ;) Mwahahaha
