When your child gets sick, it doesn't matter whether he is two or 20 you still get all antsy. My eldest daughter E is now camped out in my room. Last night, I hardly got any sleep. Not only was E running a fever, she was also experiencing chills. I dumped blanket after blanket on her, and still she was shivering like crazy. Finally, I just grabbed her in my arms and gave her a big warm embrace. I'd like to think that worked.
Today, we are almost out of blankets, I am almost out of shirts, and my room does not smell nice at all but E is better. That's all that matters.
I just hope that tonight I could get some sleep :)
Whenever I'm sick, I always want my mom to be at home too. A couple months ago, both Matthew and I got sick! He had a fever, I had the flu. We camped out in my parents' room, and my mom barely slept because she was taking care of her apo :)
ReplyDeleteHay. I miss my mommy! (Sucks on thumb)
ReplyDeletenice to know you're all doin OK now...
ReplyDeletewe also had a cycle of fevers a few weeks ago, kids and adults! so hard pag kids na ang may sakit.
KV, ganun yata talaga. "Mommy" is my daughter's favorite word these days :)
ReplyDeleteRach, aren't you going home yet? O, mali ba ang pag-interpret ko ng mga status mo? Mwahahaha
Michelle, hirap talaga kapag ang kids ang maysakit. And buti nalang, I hardly get sick myself; knock on wood.
Malapit na akong umuwi, konti na lang. I will find my way back to Summit to harass my favorite, ageing yet sizzling hot art director. bwahahahaha!
